Hearing Evaluation

Video Otoscopy
– Enables a detailed inspection of the ear canal and ear drum by using a tiny fiber-optic camera that captures a high-definition video which is then displayed on a monitor.
– Identifies possible contributing factors to symptoms of hearing loss

Newborn Hearing Screening
– Identifies if babies have permanent hearing loss
– Examines if babies have hearing problems as early as possible

Pure Tone Audiometry
– Measures hearing sensitivity and the severity and balance (unilateral or bilateral) of an individual’s hearing loss

Speech Audiometry
– Helps in the diagnosis of certain retrocochlear pathologies and tests both peripheral and central systems
– Determines the degree of hearing loss present and if you will benefit from the use of hearing aids

Tympanometry
– Diagnoses and monitors problems in the middle ear
– Examines the condition of the middle ear and the flexibility of the eardrums

Nose and Sinuses Evaluation

Video Nasal Endoscopy
– Examines the nasal and sinus passages to show specific details that can be used in the diagnosis of various conditions, such as nasal blockage, nasal congestion, nasal and sinus infection, cerebrospinal fluid leak, and nasal tumors

Voice Evaluation

Flexible Nasolaryngoscopy
– Allows a closer view of the inaccessible areas in the nose and throat
– Helps accurately diagnose conditions of the nose, nasopharynx, larynx, and hypopharynx

Video Laryngoscopy
– Diagnoses the back of your throat and your larynx for conditions such as coughing up blood, long-term cough, breathing problems, insistent pains in the throat, voice problems, and bad breath

ENT Procedures

Ear Cleaning
– Relieves pain and itching in the ears by clearing out the earwax blockage

Removal of Foreign Body
– Removes foreign bodies or substances that have been trapped and must be taken out as soon as possible

Evaluation of Snoring and Sleep Disorders
– Diagnoses patient for possible serious conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)
– Reveals if snoring is caused by nasal allergy, nasal obstruction, infection, or enlargement of tonsils and adenoids

Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy
– Removes the tonsil/adenoids for various reasons such as obstructive sleep apnea, impaired breathing, chronic infections, recurrent earaches or chronic sore throat

Nasal Polypectomy
– Removes polyps (swellings in the nasal lining that cause blocked nose and reduced sense of smell) in the nasal passages

Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery
– Improves sinus ventilation by enlarging the nasal drainage pathways of the paranasal sinuses

FHead and Neck Tumor/Cancer Surgery
– Removes cancerous tumor and may be combined with radiation therapy / chemotherapy if necessary

Facial Reconstruction Surgery
– Corrects facial defects and disfiguration, specifically of the nose, lips, eyelids, ears, and scalp

Maxillofacial Trauma Surgery
– Manages and treats facial injuries and traumas, such as burns, lacerations, bruises, and fractures

RETINA SCREENING

Retina screening is one of the diagnostic procedures required especially for those who are prone to diabetes and hypertension. To ensure early detection and treatment of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, retinal detachment, and all other retinal issues, this eye exam is recommended annually.

Digital Fundus Photography enables the detection of macular deem and the proliferation of diabetic retinopathy. This machine is able to capture the interior surface of the eye, such as the retina, retinal vasculature, optic disk and the macula.

DIABETIC RETINOPATHY SCREENING

Diabetic Retinopathy has no symptoms but it is a common complication of diabetes. The incidence of blindness as a result of diabetic retinopathy can be prevented or reduced if early treatment is done.

HYPERTENSIVE RETINOPATHY SCREENING

Retinal microvascular changes occur as a result of hypertension. Hypertensive retinopathy is usually a marker for the extent of vascular diseases which can be classified under three pathophysiolocigal divisions – mild, moderate and malignant.

Early diagnosis through ophthalmoscopy, fundus photo, hemodynamics studies is key to control and treatment.

AGE RELATED MACULAR DEGENERATION

If you are 50 years old or older, it is common that you will experience and suffer from Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). For some, it may be a slow process but for others, progression may be faster and can affect both eyes.

Only a comprehensive dilated eye examination can detect AMD. It is best to consult your trusted eye doctor for this test.

RETINA DETACHMENT

Retinal detachment is an emergency situation characterised by the following symptoms:
– Sudden appearance of floaters – tiny specks that seam to float in your field of vision.
– Photopsia or flashes of light in one or both eyes.
– Blurred vision.
– Gradually reduced peripheral (side) vision.
– Curtain-like shadows in your field of vision.

It is described as the pulling away of a thin layer of the retina at the back of the eye from its normal position. It can lead to the lose of vision if not immediately treated.

CATARACT AND REFRACTIVE SURGERY / GLAUCOMA SCREENING

CATARACT SCREENING

As we grow older, the lens of the eye located behind the pupil degenerates. This degraded lens is knows as cataract. It affects the quality of our vision and the quality of life. Having unfocused images, cloudy visions or in severe cases, no images at all can be seen, only a distinction of light and dark is not how we envision ourselves at our advanced age.

GLAUCOMA SCREENING

Glaucoma is an eye disease that can lead to loss of vision if not detected and treated early at the onset.

A comprehensive dilated eye screening is done during a Glaucoma screening which includes: Visual acuity test, Visual field test, Dilated eye exam, Tanometry, and Pachymetry.

Modern technology has made cataract and glaucoma screening swift and easy. Through the use of optical scanners and markers, the lens is analysed and all the necessary data that is required to diagnose your conditions and its management becomes readily available. You can now make informed decisions.

CATARACT SURGERY

Basic Single Vision IOL
Intraoccular Lenses (IOLs) are implanted in the eyes for better and improved vision.

Cataract Surgery with Premium IOL
The implantation of Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) to replace the natural lens of the eye is achieved through cataract surgery.
However, not all IOLs are created equal. Today, there are a variety of premium IOLs to choose from depending on several factors such as lifestyle and your visual needs.

REFRACTIVE LENS EXCHANGE

The process of replacing the eye’s natural lenses with an Intraocular Lens (IOL) is similar in both Cataract Surgery and in Refractive Lens Exchange. However, in cataract surgery, the objective is to correct the blur or light scatter while in refractive lens exchange, it is to reduce or replace the need for glasses or contact lenses.

ASTIGMATISM MANAGEMENT

One of the most common eye problems is astigmatism. It is an abnormality because the surface of the eye is oval in shape rather than round. The effect is a blurred vision whether near or far.

Toric IOL
To correct astigmatism at the same time nearsightedness or farsightedness.
The most curved median in front of the eye is marked before the IOL is implanted. It is then aligned to the markings at the cornea to ensure proper astigmatism corrections.
