FUMC Antipolo’s Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory | Fatima University Medical Center

Molecular Diagnostics has revolutionized modern medicine and according to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), Molecular Diagnostics is currently one of the most evolving areas of diagnostics with the numerous advances in research and treatment transforming healthcare across a wide range of diseases and health conditions.

Fatima University Medical Center Antipolo opened its Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory last December 01, 2020, living up to its commitment to healing and innovation.

The FUMC Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory is the first and only PCR Laboratory accredited by the Department of Health in the Antipolo City and Rizal province. It has the capability of performing Reverse Transcriptase – Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) used for COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) testing, among other procedures. It can process and exhibit PCR results in two (2) to three (3) working days or as early as 24 hours for rush results. 

The new facility will help FUMC serve its patients with the best healthcare service that is most relevant in this time of health crisis caused by COVID-19.
