In coordination with Philippine Heart Association. FUMC Stone Center Opens A frontrunner in giving the best patient care, FUMC reaches new heights as they opened the new Stone Center last June 2010. FUMC is the first hospital to open a Stone Center and possess a Dorneir Compact Sigma Trimode machine in the CaMaNaVa and Northern Luzon area. Headed by Dr. Joseph Lee, the Stone Center will be equipped with the Dornier COmpact Sigma Trimode. This top-of-the-line equipments makes non-invasive treatment for kideny and other urinary tract stones possible and more convenient than ever. Moreover, with the Dornier Sigma trimode, patients experience less downtime than ever. A Night of Laughter and Friendship: FUMC Hosts 1st Wine & Cheese Cocktails Doctors took a break from medical activities and clinic duties as they unwound at the 1st FUMC Wine & CHeese Cocktails at the Multi-Purpose Hall, San Lorenzo, Valenzuela City. Doctors got to relax and mingle with other guests as they toasted to a night of camaraderie, friendship and success of FUMC through the years. Visiting consultants also participated in games & quizzes wherein they took home wine and cheese as prizes. The COkctails was a way of thanking the FUMC doctors and partners for their continuous dedication to their profession and to the Hospital. Basic IV Therapy Training Course A seminar about Intravenous (IV) Therapy entitled, “Basic IV Therapy Training Course” will be held on June 1-3, 2010 at the 5th floor, Audio- Visual Room of FUMC, 120 McArthur Highway, Valenzuela City. The seminar focuses on the nurses’ responsibility to administer IV therapy as well as the dosage and drugs needed by the patient. There will be lectures on the history as well as the Ethico-Legal responsibilities of doctors and nurses. talk to create awareness on Colon Cancer, Hepatitis B, its early symptoms, prevention, screenings, diagnosis and latest treatments.
